Gilbert Municipal Court Divorce Records
Divorce, called Dissolution of Marriage in Arizona, is a judicial proceeding that married individuals initiate in the Superior Court to legally terminate their marriage.
For Gilbert town residents, dissolution proceedings are heard in the Superior Court for Maricopa County, and any record from such proceedings ends up in the Superior Court Clerk's custody.
Members of the public can obtain divorce court records from the Clerk in person, by mail, or online, as explained on the office's Obtaining Records page.
Copies requested from the Clerk, such as divorce decrees or custody orders, incur an administrative fee, but such records remain available for inspection, free of charge, at the Clerk's Customer Service Center in Downtown Phoenix, Northeast Regional Center in Phoenix, Northwest Regional Center in Surprise, and Southeast Regional Center in Mesa during regular business hours.
Copy fees are 50 cents per page, and $35 for certification.
